VetKeep ("we", "us", or "our") is operated by Teodor and is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use the VetKeep iOS application and related website (collectively, the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Account information: Email address and password when you create an account.
- Pet health data: Pet names, species, breeds, ages, health records, diagnoses, medications, vaccination records, lab results, and daily wellness logs you enter or upload.
- Uploaded documents: Photos of veterinary documents, invoices, and health records you submit for AI processing.
- Usage data: Information about how you interact with the Service, including features used, pages visited, and general usage patterns.
- Chat history: Messages and photos you send to the AI health chat feature.
- Subscription information: Your subscription status and purchase history for in-app purchases made through Apple. We never see or store your payment card details — payments are processed entirely by Apple.
- Device & diagnostic data: Push notification tokens, device model, operating system and app version, anonymized analytics events, and crash reports.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Process vet documents using AI to extract and organize health data
- Power the AI health chat with context from your pet's records
- Send you notifications and service-related communications
- Respond to your questions and support requests
- Monitor and analyze usage to improve user experience
- Manage your subscription and unlock premium features you have purchased
- Detect, diagnose, and fix crashes and technical issues
3. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following trusted third-party services to operate VetKeep:
Supabase
We use Supabase for database storage, user authentication, and file storage. Your account information, pet health records, and uploaded documents are stored securely on Supabase infrastructure. Supabase is SOC 2 Type II compliant. See Supabase's Privacy Policy for more details.
Anthropic Claude AI
We use Anthropic's Claude AI for document extraction and AI-powered chat features. When you photograph a vet document or use the health chat, relevant data is sent to Anthropic for processing. Anthropic does not retain your data for training purposes under our API usage agreement. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy for details.
RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat receives a random app user identifier and your purchase and subscription status from Apple so we can unlock premium features. RevenueCat never receives your name, email, or payment details — payments are processed by Apple. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details.
Google Firebase
We use Google Firebase for app analytics (Firebase Analytics) and crash reporting (Crashlytics). This includes anonymized usage events, device model, operating system version, and crash data tied to a random app identifier — not your name or email. See Firebase's Privacy documentation for details.
Apple
Apple provides Sign in with Apple (optional authentication), the Apple Push Notification service (delivery of reminders and scan alerts), and payment processing for all in-app purchases through the App Store. See Apple's Privacy Policy for details.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. We implement industry-standard security measures including row-level security (RLS) policies to ensure your data is only accessible to you and those you explicitly share it with. All communications between the app and our servers use HTTPS/TLS encryption.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data and pet health records at any time through the app
- Export your data — contact us to request a data export
- Delete your account and all associated data — contact us or use the delete account option in the app
- Correct inaccurate information at any time within the app

6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we will delete all associated personal data and pet health records within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal or compliance purposes.
7. Children's Privacy
VetKeep is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at hello@vetkeep.app.
8. GDPR & CCPA
We are committed to complying with applicable data protection laws including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
- You can request a copy of your data or request deletion at any time by contacting us.
- You have the right to withdraw consent for data processing at any time by deleting your account.
- For GDPR purposes, Teodor acting as VetKeep is the data controller.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and on this page, and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
